A Letter From The Field

Issue 06 · Douglas County · Summer 2026
Great Players
Aren't Born.
They Are Developed.

NextGen Soccer Camp exists for one reason: to build the next generation of champions through deliberate, high-quality coaching delivered in a family-oriented environment. Every drill, every session, and every conversation is engineered around four pillars — Attack, Defense, Leadership and Soccer Knowledge.

Across three two-week blocks, our coaching staff works with boys and girls aged 7 to 14 in small, focused groups at Challenger Regional Park. The format is simple. The standards are not. We teach technique with care, build confidence through repetition, and challenge every camper with a clear plan tailored to their stage of growth.

What separates NextGen is not a slogan. It is the daily commitment to showing up, watching closely, and developing each player as both an athlete and a young person. That is the work — and we are honored to do it with your family.

The Four Pillars

A Curriculum, Not A Drill List
01 — Pillar

Attack

The art of creating chances and finishing them. Players learn to dominate 1v1, combine in tight spaces, and arrive where the goal can be scored.

  • Shooting technique
  • Dribbling under pressure
  • 1v1 dominance
  • Finishing in the box
  • Combination play
  • Movement off the ball
02 — Pillar

Defense

Defending is a craft. We coach posture, timing, and discipline — turning every player into a problem for the opposition to solve.

  • Tackling technique
  • Defensive shape
  • 1v1 defending
  • Pressing triggers
  • Marking principles
  • Recovery runs
03 — Pillar

Leadership

Character is the foundation. We develop voice, ownership, and a growth mindset so that every player becomes someone teammates can rely on.

  • Communication
  • Growth mindset
  • Coachability
  • Mental toughness
  • Team-first habits
  • Resilience after errors
04 — Pillar

Soccer Knowledge

The thinking side of the game. We unlock pictures, patterns, and decisions so players see the field clearly and act with intent.

  • Game IQ sessions
  • Tactical foundations
  • Formation literacy
  • Set pieces
  • Positional principles
  • Reading transitions
